Your new role…

Key Duties - Vacancy 1 (Energia finance department)

  • Preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Posting of month-end journals to SAP
  • Assist with business planning process and updating of actuals in LBE models
  • Accounting for DSU business and preparing results
  • Reconciliation of mark to market monthly and quarterly positions
  • Invoice reconciliations and processing invoices to SAP for payment
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with quarterly treasury information requests
  • Prepare electricity volume forecasts for the CRU
  • Reconciliation of monthly gas swap settlements
  • Assist with preparation for the year end audit
  • Prepare statutory returns as required
  • Provide other ad hoc support to the accountants as required

Key Duties - Vacancy 2 (Energia Group Finance)

  • Bank reconciliations for Holding Company accounts and compilation of total group month end reconciliations for review
  • Posting of month-end journals to SAP
  • Maintaining inter-company loan schedules on Excel
  • Inputting payments
  • Setting up and managing purchase orders
  • Supporting in the vendor audit process
  • Managing confirmations for foreign exchange and commodities hedging
  • Participate on the student Charity Committee organising fundraising events for the chosen charity of the year
  • Assist the team with general administrative duties
  • Provide other ad hoc support to the team as required

This role will be based in our newly refurbished offices in Belfast which offers free coffee/tea and kitchen facilities, along with soft rooms for informal meetings and a recreational area for break times.

The successful candidate will be enrolled into the Company Pension Scheme with an employer contribution of up to 6% and will also avail of 20 days holiday per year plus 11 statutory days. Knowledge and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Studying towards an honours degree in Finance or Accountancy or a related discipline that has a specialism in finance and have completed year 2 by July 2020.
  • Module results to date (all your first-year results) must have a combined average in excess of 60%*

*The module results combined average may be increased if we have a high level of interest.
