Energia Group welcomes the release of the latest Elevate Pledge

Energia Group welcomes the release of the second Elevate Pledge report from Business in the Community Ireland.  As an organisation Energia Group remains committed to building an inclusive company culture that leverages diversity and supports professional development opportunities that are representative of all members of Irish society. Since signing the elevate pledge in 2021, Energia Group has displayed a steadfast commitment to creating a more inclusive workplace through a number of concrete actions.

In 2022 the Group introduced two women’s health policies, Pregnancy Loss and Fertility Treatment and a Managers guidance document to support women through the Menopause forming part of the company’s broader strategy of supporting all employees through every life stage and fostering a culture of inclusion. In 2023, the Group has continued to deliver initiatives focusing on cultivating an inclusive workplace. These initiatives include the Group’s partnership with Riley, an eco-friendly company that is providing free period care products to all Energia employees across its offices in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Energia Group has recently launched an initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. The support tool, titled Read & Write is designed to support each employee by offering help with everyday tasks like reading text out loud, understanding unfamiliar words, researching assignments and proofing written work.

These measures are just some of the initiatives being implemented by Energia Group as it focuses on policies aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 8 on Decent Work & Economic Growth.

The Elevate Pledge report provides an overview of the progress made by Irish businesses in fulfilling their commitments to the Community Business Ireland Elevate Pledge. The report highlights the positive impact that businesses are having on their workplaces and showcases initiatives from signatories of the pledge. The report is intended to inspire other businesses to get involved and make a positive impact for their workforce.
