Energia Renewables has applied to the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government for permission to carry out a preliminary survey around the possibility of offshore renewable wind energy generation in the Celtic Sea, some 5 km – 10 km distance off of Helvick Head, Co. Waterford.

Offshore wind energy projects are in line with the Government of Ireland’s policy to use greater volumes of renewable energy in the future to create sustainability of energy supply from green and renewable sources and to reduce the impact of climate change in our environment.
