Energia Group has welcomed the recent Government’s National Retrofitting Scheme announcement planning to see half a million homes retrofitted by 2030 with new grant proposals of up to €25,000 and in some cases more to assist with the cost of deep retrofits for householders.

Under the new plans, announced by Minister Eamon Ryan, Department Environment, Climate and Communications, grants of up to €25,000 will be available to householders across the country to help their home energy upgrades. The scheme will cover a significant percentage of the cost of a deep retrofit that would improve a home’s energy efficiency to a higher and more cost effective BER rating.

The Energia Cosy Homes Scheme provides a One Stop Shop for deep retrofits and home energy upgrades. The scheme is the cornerstone of Energia’s home energy upgrade offerings, providing a simple solution for home energy upgrades all under one roof.  And you don’t need to be an existing Energia customer, our home energy upgrade offerings are available to all householders.  

Energia Cosy Homes customers can avail of a free home energy assessment and an end-to-end project management service making home energy upgrades hassle free.  We manage the entire process including the grant applications and paperwork, and discount all Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) grants upfront meaning our customers get the full benefit without any delay or additional financial outlay. Through our Credit Union Greener Homes partnership with the Irish League of Credit Unions we can offer customers low cost affordable finance to cover the cost of the work. We also provide a quick quote calculator that estimates the costs for home energy upgrades as well as the grants and credit union finance options available to the householder.
