Energia and Moixa Make Domestic Solar A Reality In Ireland
At Energia Group, we are continually working with our customers to ensure they have the best possible opportunities and advice when it comes to reducing their own carbon footprint
At Energia Group, we’re proud to be a driving force behind the push to renewables and decarbonisation.
And that doesn’t just mean by investing in renewable generation ourselves. We are also continually working with our customers to ensure they have the best possible opportunities and advice when it comes to reducing their own carbon footprint.
Typical of that approach is our recent partnership with Moixa, suppliers of domestic smart battery systems, to deliver integrated solar energy panels and battery storage systems to households in Ireland.
The system essentially enables the household to generate solar energy during the day, and store that energy within the home for use during the evening or indeed the next day – either for heating, electrical power or ever charging the car! By doing so this solution ‘decouples’ solar from the weather or time of day and makes it a practical solution for any household looking to both reduce bills and make a positive change for the environment.
That isn’t the only benefit however. By bringing generation and storage ‘behind the meter’ the integrated Energia Group / Moixa system gives customers greater visibility into generation and consumption, giving them a sense of ownership and responsibility and developing better energy habits.
As part of our role in promoting these approaches, Energia Group is supporting customers in Ireland by co-funding these systems for early adopters. In return, those customers provide feedback and insight and we all learn something about delivering a cleaner, greener and more decentralised generation network.
